Cyanotype series on paper, 2026
Various sizes: A3, A4 and A6
At the beginning of the year, we came to a place that was new to us. As the seasons changed, I began to follow the life of its garden, discovering the plants as they emerged, one by one.
I collected and pressed flowers and other plants throughout the growing season, making cyanotypes using the plants themselves and sunlight. Each image became a record of a particular encounter, preserving a moment in the garden's unfolding life.
Through this slow process of observing, collecting and making, the unfamiliar place gradually became familiar. The plants seemed to greet me, one after another, and through them I began to feel welcome.
The series is both a record of the garden and a personal account of getting to know a place through the life that already belongs there.
”I love flowers. The very first ones that gently bring hints of colour to the landscape in spring.”
”And those that, in midsummer, shout out in sheer delight, speaking a language of endless shapes and colours to all who thirst.”
”And especially those that, as autumn arrives, remind us of the importance of letting go. Still standing in weathered defiance, even after the snow has fallen. Declaring that new growth is possible.”
