HOLD ON. LET GO. INSTALLATION

My Master of Arts thesis’s (2014) topic was creative passion. I approached the theme of creativity through an installation. The installation comprised video projections, a soundscape, and large helium balloons to which people's dreams and fears were attached.

I asked people online about their dreams and fears, and the responses were given anonymously. The white balloons carried dreams, and the black ones fears. Dreams and wishes tell us the direction of our lives. They indicate what we should strive for. Dreams require the courage to act as one wishes - without fearing failure, criticism, or belittlement.

My goal was to create an easily approachable communal piece that evokes empathy and can be touched.
