Drink me window INSTALLATION

Jorma Elo's directed ballet 'Alice in Wonderland' was performed at the National Ballet in 2019. Inspired by the work, we were commissioned to design a pre-marketing installation for Helsinki's Stockmann, on the Mannerheimintie side display window.

In the story, Alice drinks a wonder potion and grows so large that she doesn't fit in the room. This gave rise to the idea where only the enormous legs of a ballet dancer can be seen from the window. A bottle of the wonder potion has spilled on the floor, and other visuals drew inspiration from, among other things, the checkered pattern of the card soldiers. The music of the piece also played in the window.

The installation was created in collaboration with the Finnish National Opera and Ballet, Sivulliset collective and Goljat.
